JBMDL, NJ - North East Medical Area Readiness Support Group (NE-MARSG) Best Warrior Competition (BWC) to be conducted on 8-13 January 2014 at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst (JBMDL), NJ. NE-MARSG will conduct a BWC event to select one Soldier (E4 and below) and one NCO (E5 to E7) to compete at the AR-MEDCOM BWC from 22-28 February 2014 at Ft Harrison, MT. Special emphasis will be placed on conducting a rigorous, real world scenario driven event which will challenge all candidates’ ability to perform Warrior Tasks and Battle Drills. The NE-MARSG will accomplish this by evaluating competitors’ performance in the following events: Board Appearance, Written Exam, Written Essay, Army Physical Fitness Test (APFT), Land Navigation (Day), Urban Orienteering Course, M4, M9, and M249 Qualification, Foot March, Warrior Tasks and Battle Drills, Modern Army Combatives, Tactical Combat Casualty Care and a Mystery Events. NE-MARSG Soldiers compete to be 'Best Warrior' Day 1
[Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, N.J. – Jan. 9, 2014] Sgt. Nathan Brown assigned to the 7202 Medical Support Unit as a Dental Specialist competes in the Army Physical Fitness Test during Day 1 of the 2014 NE-MARSG Best Warrior Competition (BWC). Sgt. Brown along with 4 other Warriors were challenged during today's events, which also included an Obstacle Course, EST 2000 and a Written Exam.
